Senior 3 League

Expecting a day of heavy rain, (which never came!) YM won the toss to have a bowl on another slow, low wicket.
YM then did everything right in bowling out the home side for 107 in 44 overs. Most catches were held and all the bowlers contributed as Malahide struggled throughout their innings.
Johnny Harte was terrific as he whirled away his 10 overs taking 6/22.
Neel Bhandari backed up his fine bowling in Anglesea Road the previous day returning figures of 10-3-22-2 and Umar Jehangir got in on the act bowling fast and straight taking 2/27.

Due to YM getting through their overs quickly we had about an hour to bat before Tea.
Matthew Quirke went in the 4th over and E.'Shami' Ahmed (19) followed just before the break but at 60/2 things looked very good.
However, the tea must have been eaten too quickly as YM got a dose of the hiccups and with the score on 84/2 Carl Hosford (43) was then dismissed, adjudged caught at slip, Tim Shannon charged the spinner, Johnny Harte was bowled and Rory Anderson reacted too slowly to a bad call for a run and 4 wkts had fallen for only 16 runs in 8 overs.
Score: 100/6.
But Dale McDonough-Kincaid and Neel Bhandari swallowed hard, took a deep breath and calmly scored the remaining 10 runs to see YM home by 4 wkts.

2 wins in 2 days and we live to fight another day in our attempt to stay in the Senior 3 League.
