Old Belvedere won the toss, and that was all that went their way. Sameer Dutt with 32 was the only person to have any credit from an awful batting performance. James Parkinson (6-2-9-3), Paul Beacroft (9-1-17-3) and Warrick Armstrong (8-0-33-4) all helped themselves to easy wickets. Extras piled in with a not insignificant 11.

In reply Stu McCready was sent in to get things over with, and that he achieved with 40 off 19 deliveries (3 fours, and 4 sixes). Eshtam Ahmed backed him up with 16. Sadaf Raza and Derek McGeehan both claimed a wicket but they needed much much more...
