North County hammered YM in the second round of the Antalis Leinster Senior Cup on another sunny day in the Nevitt.
Winning the toss YM made little use of batting first on a fine track. 7 scores of under 10 tell it's own story and those who did look in, flattered to deceive. At one point YM were 54/2 but some loose shots and poor batting saw the innngs collapse alarmingly. 99 all out on a good wicket with small boundaries and a very quick out-field was feeble.
As with all small targets to chase, the best way is to usually 'go-for-it' from the start, don't dwell on it and North County did this with gusto, assisted by bowling which was poor in line and length. The YM bowlers had no answer to the County batsmen who put the visitors out of their misery within 9 overs.
Bad day at the office. The worst.
