Malahide came up with a win at Claremont Road that means relegation is now any two from themselves, YMCA, Leinster and Clontarf. Malahide won the toss and batted, and might have been regretting that when they were 22-4. Adam Coughlan and Callum Riches held firm for a while, but the Village People slipped to 79-6 before golden oldie Damain Ryan joined Coughlan. Each scored a fifty as Malahide got to 186-8. For YMCA, James Parkinson took 3/35.

Skipper "Rainy" Strydom went for a duck in the second over, but that other rave from the grave, Alan Lewis, and Parkinson put the Young Men back on course at 49-1. Lewie went for 26 and YM slumped to 97 all out as Callum Riches (4/32) went through the middle order and Stevie Smith (three for four) helped himself to the bunnies.
