Welcome to the YMCA Cricket Club Cubs page for 2019 - A new innovation at Cricket Leinster.
Cubs
Last season, most of Cricket Leinster Leagues and Cups were played in accordance with a Child's School Year. As a result, a number of our younger Cricketers missed out on an introduction to competitive cricket. In response, this season Cricket Leinster have introduced
"Cubs" cricket this season, aimed at mixed sides of boys and girls up to 4th Class.
Managers & Coach
Jonathan Harte will be the inaugural team manager for this side, the team coach is yet to be assigned, but as soon as Kerry touches down and gets organised your coach will be assigned. If you want to get in touch with your Managers or Coach, you'll find all the contact details you need if you click on "
Youth Contacts | 2019 Season".
Cubs League
There are two Cubs groups and we are drawn in Group B. At the end of the Group stages the winners of Group A and Group B play-off in a final. There are 11 teams in Group B of the Cubs League and each team plays everybody else once, so plenty of fixtures a hopefully a chance for everyone interested to get a taste of competitive cricket. Besides ourselves, the other clubs drawn in Group B are:
Adamstown
Greystones Green
Greystones White
Leinster Maroon
Leinster Red
Merrion
North Kildare
Pembroke
Railway Union
Terenure.
All fixtures have been provisionally arranged and can be viewed if you click, "
