On a scorching day and on a great deck with a fast outfield it was set up to be a thriller...but it was not to be as Railway did most things right and YM panicked in their reply to a daunting total set by the visitors.

Railway won the toss, batted and Carroll (47) & Fisher into the home sides bowling which was probably a little to full at the outset.
Two wickets from Reinhardt Strydom halted Railway for a little bit, but then a good innings from Fisher (56) and then a great one from Trent Johnston 119, (pictured right) saw the visitors score 278 off their 45 overs. To their credit YM did take all ten wickets, including 4 run outs, but it was a tough day in the field.

But still you had to be positive, the wicket was still good, the outfield even quicker and the sun was still out.

However in two or three overs that was all to change as first Strydom (0), out caught to the second ball of the innings, then Shami (0) caught in the gully and Lewie (2) who was bowled, saw the scoreboard read 5/3. Not Good.
Stuart McCready (19) and Angus Dunlop (13) both hit a few boundaries but followed soon after.
Grim.
Railway had hit the deck harder with their seamers, especailly Ullah (3/44) and YM crumbled.
With 5 wickets down Rob Nandi (27) and Paul Beacroft (30) took the attack to the visitors and the run rate increased but a run out soon had YM in trouble again.
James Parkinson hit a quick fire 46 with some mighty blows but when he held out in the deep going for another boundary the game was up.
YM were dismissed for 163 to leave Railway the victors by 115 runs as the home side tasted defeat for the first time this season.
