Match report YMCA v Old Belvedere
At Claremont Road
WMK League - Section B.

Belvedere won the toss and elected to bat in their league encounter with YMCA at Claremont Road and were soon 4 wickets down for 50 runs off 18 overs, after a rapid 33 from Yogesh on a very good pitch.
It looked as though the YM attack was well on top until a fantastic 152 run 6th wicket stand between Dutt(107) & Ali (80) took Belvedere to a big total of 291 in their alloted 50 overs.
Paul Beacroft taking 3/53 and James Parkinson 3/66.

YM made a solid start in reply to the huge total with 55/1 off the first 12 overs when the rain came down and stopped play for over an hour and an half.
The match was then reduced to 34 overs under the D/L Method with a revised target of 219.
Contributions from Alan Lewis 45, Beacroft 35 and a quick fire 41 from Shami saw YM past the target with 2 overs to spare.
The Old Belvedere fielding was awful, even allowing for a wet ball at times, their fielders were a hinderence to their bowlers, at times simply picking the ball up was made to look difficult and they couldn't prevent YM from romping home by 3 wkts.
