YM were totally out-played and Clontarf deserved their victory to claim the Harry Hill Trophy.

However it was a very disappointing batting display from the YM team, especially the top order who simply did not show the necessary application to build an innings and make sure they batted their full allotment of 35 overs and set a competitive target.

None of the batsman (apart from Josh Van De Flier/who got a tough decision), Lee Cole (run out/direct hit) and Ryan Bailey (who showed he can 'play') looked to have real hunger to 'get in' and score heavily and give the bowlers something to bowl at.
It was a pity that YM could not 'tuck' into the Clontarf bowlers as well as they 'tucked' into the pizza kindly laid on after the game.

David Rice took a wicket with the 3rd ball of the Clontarf innings, but that is as good as it got.
Clontarf easily knocked off the runs to win by 9 wickets.

I am sure they will view this as a missed opportunity, as they watched Clontarf accept their winners mementos and lift the Trophy, because they are a better team then this result suggests.
