In a game reduced to 38 overs per side due to weather conditions YM Batted first in a crucial league game.
And they would have been disappointed to be dismissed for only 138 (32.3 overs) on the artificial wicket, thus giving the opposition 5 extra overs in which to chase down the target.
After Aman Singh had topped scored with 31 (2x4s, 2x6s) there were brief camoes from Johan Van De Flier (22), Niall Noonan (19) and 18 from Josh Van De Flier batting at No.9 which would turn out to be crucial at the end of the day.

In reply Phoenix reached 60 odd for 1 despite some tight bowling by the YM bowlers. Then Aman was introduced by captain for the day Derek Dockrell and things started to swing the home sides way. Reeling off almost 12 overs on the trot Aman bowled deadly straight and his figures of 8/12 were outstanding. Backed up by his fielders YM clawed their way back into the game as the run-rate rose and Phoenix faltered under pressure.
Needing 10 to win going into the last over of the innings, Aman took the final wicket with the first ball and the fightback was complete.
The last 9 wickets falling for 65 runs.
A great win at just the right moment in the season.
