YM proved far too strong for the visitors in this re-fixed 1st Rd ISC Cup match at Claremont Road.
Batting first YM amassed 259 all out but in truth it should have been 300+ as a combination of poor shot selection and good bowling restricted the home team.
Alan Lewis was once again to the fore scoring a fluent 122. Reinhardt Strydom on debut got to 48 before a mix-up saw him run out.

In reply, Cork simply lost wickets too regularly for their own liking as all the bowlers found a way through their defences. James Parkinson, another on debut returned figures of 4/13 with deadly accuracy and no little pace.

A trip to Strabane awaits in the 2nd Rd to be played on the 9th of May.
