Interested in taking up a new team sport? Or do you have fond memories of long summer evenings playing cricket in your youth? Maybe you’re thinking of moving clubs and you’re looking for a new home where you can grow and develop? Or perhaps your kids have fallen in love with cricket and you want to understand what all the fuss is about!

Whatever your reason, we would be delighted to welcome you to the YMCA Women’s Section.

With teams in Divisions 1 and 3 of the Cricket Leinster League, we can cater to all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to International standard.  Our players span the generations – we take the pitch as equals, whether we arrive to training straight from school or the office!


Training and games

We train on Monday evenings, 6pm to 8pm from mid-April to September. 

We play a mix of 20 over cricket mid-week evenings, and a 50 over league played over 6 weekends of the summer.

The social side 

We’re not all stumps and wickets and LBWs. We’re a bit of “craic” too.  Our team is a fun, relaxed, welcome environment. We love our cricket, but we’re equally interested in having a laugh and supporting each other. YMCA Cricket Club is a hive of activity, with regular fund raisers and social activities.
