His career in senior cricket spanned from 1957 to 1988, a marvellous record of 31 years and 442 matches, scoring 6827 runs (including 2x100s), taking 412 wickets with 1 hat-trick v Railway Union/Park Avenue in 1967. He also held 111 cts. He was a member of the YMCA team(s) that won the 1965 Senior League, the 1977 Wiggins Teape League and the 1984 Senior Cup. His Interprovincial career with South Leinster ran from 1967 to 1974.
