A product of the Belvedere School & Old Belvedere C.C. Peter was capped by Ireland as an 18 yr old fast bowling schoolboy sensation, making his debut against Wales in Rathmines, Dublin 1982. In his 3rd match for Ireland he played against Warwickshire CCC, who soon signed him up, spending a few years at the Birmingham club. He returned to the 'Pale' and played for DUCCC, North Leinster and regained his place in the Irish side to play New Zealand at Downpatrick in 1990. He played 13 matches for Ireland, taking 39 wkts @ 21.69.
Since his retirement from Senior cricket you may have read his reports on both cricket and rugby in broad-sheets such as The Sunday Tribune, The Irish Times and now as the rugby correspondent for The Sunday Times.
Now out of retirement you can now see him in the flesh at Claremont Road in 2011, where amongst watching his kidz Mikey & Lucy, he will be doning the creams again...
